The Review:
A classy thriller! Anurag Kashyap brings a certain style with his direction which is evident right from the beginning of the movie until the end! The story is full of twists and turns, reminding you of the 1960s gangster-themed movies.
Ranbir Kapoor is convincing with his not-so-romantic character - superb acting! Anushka Sharma gets all of the emotions right, especially with the songs. Karan Johar's debut is on-point as a villain. The supporting cast is excellent as well.
You are reminded of the jazz era with Amit Trivedi's soundtrack - meaningful songs and edgy background music.
The story is a bit stretched out towards the end but it is enjoyable nonetheless.
